HOW TO INCREASE IMMUNITY IN ALL AGE GROUP

  • CONCEPT OF IMMUNITY-
Immunity is the inner strength of the body to fight against any disease.
Human beings are born with natural immune system. 

now, where this immunity come from?
According to Ayurveda, immunity can be called as व्याधी क्षमत्व and is dependant on following criterias-

1. when male sperm and female ovum gets fused that is during fertilization process, good quality of sperm and ovum results into inheritance ( pass on ) of Strong immunity and healthy baby.
For the above reasons , in Ayurveda we practice GARBHASANSKAR, BEEJ-SHUDDHI, UTTARBASTI procedures. 
It  improves mother's health  and also the new born baby comes with strong immunity and is healthy.

2. what contributes to immunity ?
AYURVEDA IS ABOUT ADDRESSING HEALTH PROBLEMS FROM ROOT CAUSE OF DISEASE AND TO  CURING IT TO PREVENT REOCCURANCE.

According to Ayurveda Strong Immunity is outcome and dependant on following factors----->
समदोषः समाग्निश्च समधातु मलःक्रियाः ।
प्रसन्नात्मेन्द्रियमनः स्वस्थइतिअभिधीयते॥

1. Agni - your digestive fire , how good is your digestive system and motion habits
2. strength of Dhatu -  (Rasa, Rakta ,Mamsa, Meda, Asthi, Majja, Shukra )
3. Sound and healthy mind 
4. Ahar ( food habit and pattern we follow )
5. vihar ( daily regimen )
6. yogasana and pranayam 

3. Ayurveda and Sanskars-
We all are aware that Ayurveda focuses more on prevention of diseases and maintaining health of individual, saying so,
various sanskars are followed immediately after birth till various age of life.

1. जातकर्म संस्कार -
 In this sanskar newly born baby is given paste of honey rubbed over gold coin.
Gold is natural immunity booster as well as medhya ( increases brain function, lifespan,intelligence, increases body resistance to diseases).

2. कर्णवेधन संस्कार -
Ear has specific immunity boosting points hence it is pierced in very small age to improve immunity and to boost baby growth.

3.suvarnaprashan sanskar -
In this sanskar , suvarnayukta aushad drops are given to child uptill 16 years of age on pushya nakshatra.
on auspicious day of pushya nakshatra , acceptance rate of body is maximum hence best results of suvarnaprashan  to child is obtained on this day.
it helps in physical and mental growth , as well as develops child's immunity system, protects child from various allergic conditions.


what Hampers Immunity ?
Immunity can be affected due to various reasons -

1. As we spoke earlier if immunity of parents is low it can be transferred to child hence proper medication, beej shuddhi, garbha sanskar are important.
2. In small children it can be due to lack of self immunity development by body which is due to disease conditions , excess eating of junk food like chocolates, wafers ,cream biscuit, lack of milk, ghee and balanced food.
3. In adults -
   A. Excess Stress , Tension, 
   B. Lack of sleep, disturbed sleep pattern , working late night, 
   C. excess drinking and smoking habits.
   D. Ignoring health problems.

4. It is generally observed that a person falls ill during RUTUSANDHI KAAL ( During Changing of season ) at that particular period ayurveda has described Rutucharya that is regimen to be followed during each season , yogasana and proper medications.

HOW CAN WE REGULATE OUR IMMUNITY ?

1. YOGASANA AND PRANAYAM PRACTICE-
Exercise daily minimum for 10 minutes , maximum for 45 minutes.
Deep pranayam, Anuloma Viloma , Meditation, Omkar Chanting, Om chanting helps in building inner core strength and works on chakras present in our body.
Asanas which improves our CORE STRENGHTH-

1. Sarvangasana
2. Shirshasana
3.Navkasana
4.Padmasana
5. Vajrasana
6. Setubandhasana

Yogasana if performing for first time then it should be started with stretching exercise then asana and then pranayam.

2. FOLLOW A HEALTHY DIET PATTERN-
Food we eat is a natural source of all vitamins, mineral and other elements hence maintaining a balanced diet with all vegetables, bhakari , proper amount of rice is important.
Food should be consumed at regular timings, avoid fruits after food.
while consuming food avoid talking, mobile, Tv use , do not eat too fast or to slow.

FOOD IF CONSUMED WITH CALM MIND GIVES NOURISHMENT TO BODY AND MIND .

3. consume 2 spoons of ghee daily , a glass of milk added with pinch of shunti powder, turmeric powder .
it provided natural calcium to body, helps to keep bones strong.

4. Drink TULSI TEA instead of normal tea or coffee
5 to 10 tulsi leaves+ 2 pepper+ 2 lavang + small piece of Adrak -- boil it and add honey when the tea is lukewarm.
TULSI TEA

5.chew 5 tulsi leaves daily in a day. tulsi leaves works on respiratory track , lungs and promotes blood circulation , it is useful in maintaining normal blood temperature and naturally increases immunity.

6. Drink various Medicinal juices like - Durva juice, kohala vegetable juice, beet root juice , tulsi adrak juice .
it helps in removing toxins from body , maintain water balance in body and keep body hydrated.

7.Have Turmeric and adrak kadha in evening .it helps in increasing agni and reduces kapha in body.

8. Apply little amount of coconut oil to palm , sole and ear lobe before sleep for quality and sound sleep. our detoxification of liver takes place during sleep hence quality sleep is extremely important.
